small stairway on my way up the heather lake trail on mt pilchuck near verlot, WA..

decided to venture to Heather Lake for a sunset midweek..left directly after work (4pm) and made it to the trailhead half an hour later. made the 2 mile journey to the lake as the sun fell behind the mountains..although there was light at the opening of the lake..in the thick of the forest, was very dark and gloomy..luckily i had grabbed my jacket that had my flashlight in it! was not much of a sunset to be had..as in zilch for color, but the overall experience that was felt was truly out of this world..
