the way this years water flow has been..was hoping to get a full wall of water flowing over beaver falls. i was a wee bit tardy and the flow was greatly segmented. was a nice area to dip the feet in for a break from my drive around the olympic peninsula however :)

Beaver Falls
Sappho, WA

:thanks:

I love the muted tones...makes for a very serene scene. The reflection of the background falls connects them to the foreground. Incredible depth and so many textures! Bravo. You make me want to be there--and feel that I have been. This is one of my favorites in your gallery.

I agree with everyone else. The segmented falls gives it much more character. Love the cool tones in this, too. A very well composed and exposed shot, DD. :)

I personally like it better broken up, solid walls of water are too similar, you almost can't tell where you are.

very good point i overlooked. have come to appreciate the segmentation better than if it was a solid wall..surely gives it some more flavor.
thanks for your feedback :)

Is this one deep enough for a Mermaids home? cus I love all the nature surroundings in it! ;)

indeed this one is deep enough..in the winter the entire drop is flowing with water..has created a nice deep pool from its travel

was on a tight schedule for making my way to the sunset at the beach so just a lil wading here. did get a pic though! wasnt fully happy with it so stopped playing with processing and the colors are off..but can get a good idea of the upper area. got pretty deep towards the right side and the picture really only shows the back half of the pool :) [link]
