thank you very much! just a slow shutter speed to capture the movement of the water..think this one was just under a 1 second long..it depends on the amount of water flow. but any shutter speed slower than 1/30 of a second will give you motion of the water..i usually expose between 1/2 and 2 seconds
Oh, wow, you actually crossed the river, I see? I thought about it, but didn't have any waders, or anything along those lines, and didn't really want to get insanely wet. Nice shot, in any case. Very well-captured, and a distinctive composition.
yeah..just wasnt any pleasing comps from the other side..plus the mist issue. and surprisingly didnt step one foot into the water..just some careful log crossing wasnt so bad on this trip but was back there last weekend..a lil more difficult in higher water, but since it was so, decided to venture to the top of the bottom drop on the other side, pics still need to be processed though. would love to get some waders though, open up a whole new world! thank you for the kind words..very appreciative
thank you very much! highly recommend seeing this one in person..along with the upper tier this place is indescribable!! though would wait til at least late march, is about a seven mile hike along the snowy road this time of year
Have to agree that it's one of the most amazing waterfalls I've ever seen too! Only wish I had seen this bottom tier as well! Love that crazy curved piece of tree clinging to the top of the falls, just contours so perfectly with the flow of the water. Speaking of water...that perfect Northwest teal water is just jaw dropping. Impeccable exposure, allowing the water to let loose those flowing silk threads...and polarized absolutely beautifully. Can't get over how cool that mossy rock is on the left side in the water. Just a fantastic piece of work, Addam!
hehe..cant believe we didnt see the trail down there when we were there..that and not seeing the "easier: way down to the first base speechless from your kind words sweetie..so very very thankful for ya!
a bottom tier to this place too!!!!...didn't think this spot could be any sicker...perfect shutter to bring out some wicked lines..love the bit o' blue poppin through the churn..and a great comp including the crazy drop in the background..most excellent piece, addam!!
