Otter Falls drops 1600 feet in a half mile with two 500 foot slides. Above is the last 500 foot slide before it trickles into the Taylor River. Located in the Snoqualmie National Forest near North Bend, Washington.
That's amazing, DD. That doesn't even look like a waterfall anymore, it looks like oozing lava. Very cool shot, and I love the bit of reflection we can see in the water at the bottom. The textures in the rock alone are photogenic!
Thanks LeeAnne! Did get to this one a little late in the season, sure it will be dry by August. Loved the lines that were present on the formation though, was quite a site and let me get more artistic with my imagery.
Never a bad thing to find something that makes you get more artistic with your imagery! I'd love to see this with more water on it. I hope you get back to shoot it again sometime.
