Though this was my second year in a row to visit the Suislaw National Forest in spring, I decided to take a different but more common and "easier" route deep into the forest. Even after researching the directions for days, I had to cross my fingers during a couple miles while in the maze of logging roads hoping i was going the right way. Some definite white knuckle action on some parts of the logging roads, especially with the thick fog we encountered before getting above it, but well worth the effort to once again find one of my favorite locations in Oregon. The trail itself with its fern blanketed floors and old growth firs towering around is worth the trip, but the 100 foot waterfalls encountered out here make it extraordinary.
