Is this just a mountain? I actually thought it was a Volcano at first, but seems it may just be the effect given by the clouds behind. :lmao:

Really great shot, definitely lets off a huge sense of calmness.

mt rainier is actually an active volcano..but it is dormant at that moment, little bit of activity was recorded over a hundred years ago, but hasnt done much for thousands. when it does blow its top it will surely be catastrophic though! :fear: back in 1980, mt st helens, a volcano south of rainier exploded causing a lot of destruction..forests just barely growing back today, but if rainier exploded in the same matter, would be at least ten times greater!

the mountain has indescribable and endless beauty. always a treat to get up there. just hope i never have to see its other side!

many thanks, maximus..truly grateful :)

That's a scary thought. :/ It'd make for a great shot to capture as it erupts, just a shame it's so destructive at the same time.

Upon seeing this, now it really makes me want to go back to the Pacific Northwest again. Other than that, it's a really good picture

The sky take too much place, if you had putted the tip on the up-left, it would be better ;)
Just a critic to help
