appearing as a harmless trickle..kautz creek of mt rainier is notorious for flooding. mostly minor but several severe, taking out trails, covering roads in 30 feet of mud..even changing its own course quite often! luckily its current course is nicely placed where views of mt rainiers glaciers can be seen..including kautz glacier, the starting point of this creek. unfortunately..it left a ton of debris to try and shoot around. several hundred feet behind this spot is where the creek empties into the nisqually river, so this is the beginning and pretty much the end of the creek in one
