even though this view is only a split second long as you drive east on highway 2 to stevens pass, has always been my favorite site on the journey. having driven past this spot over a hundred times, finally made the effort to stop and capture Mt Index and the Skykomish River to enjoy for more than a split second..hope you enjoy as well :)

Interesting composition. You often see this type of image from a particular location in Zion, but not from the PNW. Not too many open spots below the treeline.
