Definitely an awesome way to spend Christmas day...wish I had been that lucky!
The composition, exposure, and coloring is just perfect in this. I'd have been tempted to convert it to black and white, but I think the slightest hint of color here is where the magic comes from! The crisp and soft textures contrast nicely with each other, and the fading from front to back with the snow interspersed is just truly gorgeous. Definitely an attention holder. Wonderful work, Addam! :)

hehe..was either that or decorate the christmas tree! :P

gotta agree that the "magic" does from the color..was one that didnt cross my mind to convert surprisingly though! so thankful for the kindest of words, LeeAnne..especially interspersed! ;)

I love the layers of white: the crispness of the frost on the ice, the moving water, and the mist. It's remote and foreboding, but so inviting at the same time. Another magical capture, friend.

nah..this area is too low in elevation to be part of a glacier, is actually snow free most of the year. this is just a river and as the water crashes into the rocks it freezes and eventually builds a skirt around like above :)
