was amazing seeing all the old coke ovens as you drive down the rickety road along the north fork blackwater river..and even though they tainted the water and stained the rocks orange..really did make for a beautiful scene! despite the smell..douglas falls was one of my favorite spots LeeAnne showed me while in west virginia..thanks for sharing, LA!

Douglas Falls, North Fork Blackwater River, WV.

please dont use my images in any way without my permission..thank you :)

I went through your and LeAnne's waterfalls to show my husband what I'm doing wrong. More what you're doing right. I think I have a new favorite in your gallery. I am in love with this shot!

Amazingly... dry :) And how did you get this effect? Is there any polariser that can erase all reflexes?

thank you very much! as long as the light is diffused, getting rid of the reflections and glare can be accomplished by almost any polarizer..but these rocks also seemed to be very porous which helped alot as well! polarizer i used was the Nikon CPL II :)
